English Blog #10

Welcome to The Final English Blog,

I might have told you already but if not, I will tell you now, I started this blog for English and will end my English blogs with ten. So, this will be my last post. As you all know my first year of college is coming to an end, and it's turned out to be a pain in my ass. Luckily, I have no more Tuesday and Thursday morning classes, thank you world civ. teacher. If only I was so  luck in English class. I am just hoping the Monday (May 2nd) class will be canceled or maybe the teacher will do the surprise route, "OK class, thank you for all showing up and handing in your papers...now you can all leave. Have a great summer." Then I think to myself great couldn't have had us hand the papers in on Friday now I got up at 9:00am to hand in a paper.
Honestly, I quite enjoyed English. I just write seemingly bad things about the class because I know that my teacher reads them and I like to see her comments ha ha; I'm such a horrible person. Anyways, I do have to put something in here about the last essay. One, why, why did you have to make it the longest essay of the semester, why? As if you thought the first essay were hard to write, here write an essay that's a page longer, ha ha got ya there. Two, I really enjoyed watching the movie and even discussing the movie, but I am really not enjoying the assignments and essay that go along with it.
As much as I love English, and that's pushing it, I really hate writing essays. Well, I guess no one really does like to write them even the teachers. So, I guess I'll just take my medicine and finish the final essay. It's really not worth getting upset over. (330)

English Blog #9

Hello All,

Well, it looks like my English blogging is coming to an end, this being my second to last blog. I promise I will come back with other blogs once I have finished my English work, that way you can actually learn about my life other than English class. I guess that's one positive thing that came out of this blog is that I actually like blogging ha ha. I have actually always wanted to make a blog I just didn't know how to do it lol. Anyways, this week has been a fail, big time. I've been having issues with my credits and scheduling for next year; none with English though that's like the only class I don't have to worry about. I just think that the last few projects are kicking my ass. I have two essays underway in english...God Bless Me, two projects in progress for American Diversity, and a huge ass project in studio. Thank God I'm getting a break form my World Civ. class otherwise I might explode. I guess I'll explode later when I have all these projects plus my World Civ. final to study for. Most people would say, oh, it's college it's supposed to be hard. But, it shouldn't be thins hard, it must just be me. I'm off my game and I'm panicing. Where's an easy button when you need one. I'm hoping it will get easier from here but maybe not. Honestly I'm looking forward to my next English class, I just hope to have an awesome professor like I had this semester. I knew I told you that she scared me in my first blog, but she's really a great teacher and a fun person. She just scared me because she's so enerjetic at 9 o'clock in the morning when she's sick as a dog lol. I guess it did make the class a little less boring. I'm just hoping not to get an old boring guy that believes English is so important that an English book is his Bible. I've heard from people that they have had English or Math teachers that were that boring. So, I really hope things get better because I'd rather not have anymore problems I've already had enough. English Blog #8

Hello World,

News from yours truly, as you all know there are about four weeks left at University at Buffalo, or if you did not know that you do now because I just told you, anyways I am so excited for summer. One thing I am not looking forward to is having to take calculus over the summer. On a positive note we are almost done with the last essay in English. I am not saying I did not enjoy writing some of the essays but ironically I hate essays and I am so glad this is my last one. Now I just have two more to do for American Diversity and Design and I will be done with essays for the semester.
So, in all honesty the rest of my post today is doing to consist of what I am hoping is going to happen in English for the rest of the semester. One, I really hope there is no final I mean I wont be angry if there is one but I heard that we do not have one. Two, I am hoping that my professor has something fun planned for us. Since we are done with essays there is really nothing more we can do. So, (hint, hint) movie for a week lol. Well, it is worth the try maybe my professor will read this and be inspired ha ha, a girl can only hope.
Okay, I lied, I have one more thing to talk about. And yes, I know it is not about English but I just wanted to say it. I can not wait for summer, one I really miss my family and friends, two, I am sick of college, three, I really miss work (sadly), and four, I really hate college it is stressful and I am scared I am a failure I do not want to fail out of college. I just hope that all this college will not be for nothing. I hope I get what I came for and what I paid for because college is a lot of time and money that I will never get back.

English Blog #7

And Welcome,

Well, I'm back from spring break that is and not happy, but hey it has to end sometime. Anyways, I enjoyed break and was super glad that on the Monday back I got to sleep in. Yes, that's right no English class this week and loving it. OK, so I'm being a little over the top on how much I "hate" English, but the truth is it's not that bad. Actually, I like English this year. College English is so much better than high school English because we don't have to do the same old boring things, like poetry or Shakespeare, we get to do whatever the teacher feels like throwing at us. That means the topics are better and more interesting. Plus, I think I have connected to the teacher more than I thought I would have. I mean it's not like we're pally or best friends, but I definitely have a closer connection to her than with any of my other professors. I think it's because I have talked privately with her on so many occasions. I just feel the need to ask so many questions because I am really bad at English and I want to do the best I can on the papers.
OK, on another note, I feel like such a nerd talking about how I like English. Even though English isn't even a subject that "nerds are good at." Well, I guess it's because of reading that I associate nerds with English...no offence English teachers. I guess I should stop myself while I can don't want a mob of angry nerds coming after me, ha ha. So, actually lost what I was talking about there. I think I should stop writing this before it gets bad. Lol. But, sadly it needs to be longer. So, having written all this nonsense, back to English. I guess my point really is that English is tough but it can be fun too. So, it's best to just let it happen and maybe express yourself to make things fun. It's writing really, that's all it is so why not put you in it and make something great, you never know you just might like it, I did. (367)

Until Next Time,
Yours...what I always write.

English Blog #6

Hola,

I actually enjoyed the last assignment. I think I did fairly well on my paper. It took a lot of research and a lot of refining but it was worth it. I thought it would be a pain to have to finish the essay in such a short amount of time but it wasn't. The only thing I wish I could have had was more feedback like we had on the first paper. On the first paper we had had both the teacher's feedback and the students feedback and I like that. They were both very helpful in completing my paper I used both sets of feedback to correct my first paper. But, with the second one I kind of just had to ask questions and figure out what needed fixing on my own. But I guess it was better that way. I like that the teacher gives us formats and stuff but gives us more freedom on writing the paper. It's more of a learning experience for me if I figure it out on my own rather than being shown everything. I kind of have to fail first to be able to succeed on my own if everything is shown to me or handed to me than I tend to forget it or not remember all the important details. So, honestly I think this is the first time I have really enjoyed English writing assignments and all, and the first time I have really learned something about writing that I didn't already know. Also, I think I learned something about myself; that yes I can write if I put my mind to it. I may think that I am a horrible writer but in a sense aren't we all horrible writers who need time and time again to reread and rewrite or works? I guess it's just the way you look at it, and read it, and write it. The fact is some people just know how to do it better than others. It's all how you look at it. (330)

English Blog #5

Hello Again,

Well, I finished my essay and wah wah wah. I was a little upset because I had stayed up all night to do the research and finish my essay only to have slept through the class. Being and architecture student I don't like the idea of all-nighters. Plus, I had finished my essay a couple hours before I had to be up to go to my class, so I decided it was a good idea to get some shut eye before I went to class. Even though I am a heavy sleeper and wont get up for anything when I'm in a dead sleep, I thought setting every alarm possible would be enough, IT WAS NOT! I ended up sleeping five hours instead of the intended two and slept through my class. I was so upset because I could have slept for nine hours instead and had the same result. LOL. Oh well, I guess it happens to everyone. The good part is that my professor was understanding and I was able to hand in my essay on time. I guess I wont be doing me essays last minute anymore but we all say that and it still happens. The only thing is I have one more absence and then I'm out, so I'm crossing my fingers hoping this wont happen again.

English Blog #4

Well, Hello There,

These past few weeks have been interesting. I think I'm doing well; english isn't as hard as I thought it'd be. The only thing is I can't wait to get off the topic we're on. I really hate talking about men and women and the differences between them. Considering there are only three girls in the class, when everyone comes, we are saverely out numbered, and it makes me uncomfortable. I know that the guys are going to bash on the girls and yes, I will speak up on the girls' behalf but it doesn't really help much. I just don't like stereotypes because honestly most of the time the stereotype is right about a lot of people and it just makes you feel bad about yourself. Another thing is, even if we don't want to admit it, everyone has their own stereotype in their head and going in to the new assignment that's exactly the way I was looking at it. With my own stereotypes in mind I thought that my research would come out completely different than the way they did. Having done my research and realizing that none of the people I had interviewed fit my stereotype I realized that I would have to write an essay based on the facts not my oppinions. So, good luck to me, right. Ah, FML!

English Blog #3

It's me again,

I have been thinking and the truth is that English along with American Diversity and Design (AD&D) are the two hardest classes I have this semester. I am glad that AD&D is only two days a week and the homework is not that hard, but English is a pain to get up after long nights at studio and going three days a week is hard. I am glad that I am on better with my professor now and that I am getting the hand of the timing thing. Everything seems to be getting easier though, this is the first weekend since I have started college that I have had a whole day free of studio. I think after the first English essay is done I will have a good idea of how to do things.
Another thing I have realized is that personal essays suck. Most teachers think that by giving us personal essays it will be easy because it is about you, yet that is the complete opposite. It is super hard to write about yourself and nobody ever wants to do it. I hate looking back at my life and trying to figure out if something I did in my life relates to this or that. Even worse than writing a personal essay would have to be writing a memoir. I wrote one in tenth grade and it was torture. I think we spent about a month and went through about four drafts before it was done, and even worse than that we had to make a video with a monologue in it talk about cruel and unusual punishment.
So, I just have to put one last thing, it is Saturday, it's 6 o'clock, and I am finishing the last bit of my homework for Monday! I think I will be partying (sorry mom) and catching up on my sleep for Sunday. I am so excited. That is all.

English Blog #2

Hey again,

OK, so its about the fourth week of classes and i feel things are moving a little slow. I don't think I've been to bed earlier than 1 o'clock in the morning, I haven't finished anything earlier than the night before class and me telling myself and my family everything is OK isn't really helping. So, everything in my mind is pretty much the same since the start of the semester. I still feel like everything is going wrong when I thought it was going to be so much easier  this semester. Also, I'm having money issues and the fact that I got a parking ticket didn't help much. I guess what I'm saying is life isn't really going my way right now.
On the bright side studio seems to be the only class I'm doing well in. The professors and my TA (teacher's assistant) seem to have liked my design from the beginning. I think I have a good chance at getting picked for the top 24 which I really hope I do because then I will have something nice to tell my family maybe then they won't worry quite as much. Also, it would really boost my spirits if my design got chosen as one of the better ones. I need a little confidence boost after last semester.
The only other thing that's bothering me is my boyfriend. He has been really sad lately and I know it's only because he misses me, however I'm worried about him because he's a little too sad if you ask me. He always cries and he thinks I'm going to leave him, but he is kind of pushing me away a little and I don't want us to break up that would just break my heart. So, I really hope he gets better about me being away.
Well, what I'm going to end with is just a bright look on the rest of the semester.

MY RESOLUTION STARTING NOW FOR THE REST OF THE SEMESTER:
1. I would like to be able to get to my classes on time from now on
2. I would like to try and make all of my classes for the rest of the semester meaning none skipped (but this will be one of the hardest rules to follow ;) )
3. I want to finish most if not all of my future projects at least a day earlier than the deadline
4. I want to have fun in my classes and do well (but then again we all want that)
5. And most importantly I want stick to my statement and NOT do any all nighters

Well, I think that about covers it; school is very important to me it makes a difference for the rest of my life. So, it's important that school be number one!

English Blog #1

Hello World,

I was ready to hit everything head on this semester and I thought I could handle everything, however I was horrible wrong. The truth is nothing in college is ever as easy as it looks and I've learned this already after only one semester in Buffalo University. Everything just seems imposible and there's always so much to do and never enough time. Being an architecture student you have to learn to do everything fast, brilliantly, and on less than three hours of sleep. So, truthfully the only reason I may fail English is because I don't show up. Honestly, my teacher kinda scares me a bit but she knows a lot more than I do about English so I respect her for that. As you may have noticed I'm not the greatest writer, I have horrible spelling and my grammer is even worse, yet somehow I managed to get through all the other English classes I've had to take. I am hoping that I will get more out of this college English class than I've gotten out of past classes. That's another thing, since I'm an architect student I have to know how to communicate well with others and if I can't do that than I better hope everything shows well on paper or I'll have lost a lot of customers. So, for now I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping everything turns out ok.

Sincerely,
Yours Truely
